A message from your Solidarity & Organizing Committee

We are very excited to announce that the Hewlett-Woodmere Faculty Association has decided to invest in our union’s communications. We started off a few weeks back with professional photos of our members. The photographer visited each of our buildings and took pictures of members doing what they do best. These photos will be featured in our newsletter and soon-to-be-launched website. We are calling our newsletter HWFA News, as a tip of the hat to our old newsletter created by Ric Stark.

This newsletter will be sent to our membership regularly with upcoming events, reports from the union, community service opportunities, political action activities; Budget Vote Outreach, Fix Tier 6, etc, and reminders of meetings and social events.

We have hired Handstitched Media to build a mobile-friendly website for members with photo and video galleries, social network options, news feeds, an events calendar, forms, as well as documents and links that are important for our members. The new logo will allow our vendor to offer a wider selection of options for our members in our swag store.

As we go through the process of rebuilding our HWFA Swag Store we would like to get your input on what types of items you would like to see offered. Please click here.

All of this was made possible by the grant we received from NYSUT for this purpose.

Thank you for all your continued support and for the work you do everyday.

Below you will find a new logo that will be used across all of our communications and union swag.
