Hewlett ES: HES traditions live in the work of our beloved Tom Sugar, music teacher extraordinaire, who has devoted his heart and soul to our music program for over 20 years. Our Brotherhood/ Sisterhood Assembly, which celebrates the messages of hope and acceptance in the words and deeds of Dr. Martin Luther King., is a time honored tradition at Hewlett Elementary School. Songs that were written and performed by HES students over the years, under the creative guidance of Mr. Sugar, are a rich and integral part of our school heritage.
