Writing congratulations on both retirement and tenure feels like describing the bookends of an extraordinary career.
Many of us begin as young educators, working tirelessly each day toward earning tenure. Reaching that milestone allows us to take a moment to breathe, knowing that the hard work, dedication, and commitment we have invested in our profession have paid off. From there, we build rewarding careers filled with many successes, meaningful moments, and perhaps a few challenges along the way. We nurture, guide, and care for our students, helping them develop the knowledge and confidence they need to go on and live their best lives.
As union educators, we have the privilege of retiring with dignity and the opportunity to enjoy the years ahead with comfort and security.
